Key features

What SIM and data plan do I need?

Vehicle trackers work on any UK mobile network — EE, Vodafone, O2 or Three. You can bring your own unlocked data SIM or buy a pre-configured one from us. Most trackers use around 1–3 GB per month, depending on update frequency and how often you check the app.

Many fleet models support dual-SIM failover, automatically switching to a backup network if the primary signal drops. This is especially useful in rural areas or when travelling between regions with patchy coverage.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a monthly subscription?

Yes — 4G tracking requires a data SIM with a small monthly fee (typically £5–£10/month). This covers data, platform access and app.

Can the driver disable the tracker?

Hardwired trackers are concealed and connected to the vehicle's power — they can't be easily removed. Tamper alerts notify you of any interference.

How accurate is GPS tracking?

GPS accuracy is typically 2–5 metres outdoors. In urban canyons or covered areas, accuracy may reduce to 10–15 metres.

How long does installation take?

OBD-II trackers plug in under the dashboard in under 5 minutes. Hardwired units typically take 30–60 minutes and are best fitted by a technician.

Will it drain my vehicle battery?

No — trackers draw minimal power (around 10–20 milliamps). Most vehicles can sit unused for weeks without battery drain.

Can I track multiple vehicles on one account?

Yes — fleet platforms let you view and manage unlimited vehicles from a single dashboard. Each tracker requires its own SIM and subscription.

What happens if the vehicle goes abroad?

Most UK SIMs include EU roaming at no extra cost. Check your SIM plan for coverage in specific countries before travelling.
