How to choose an inspection camera
Start with the pipe. The camera head has to pass the smallest bore and negotiate the tightest bend on your typical job, so match head diameter and rod flexibility to the pipes you survey most. For 100mm+ drains a standard 23–30mm head and a longer rod works well; for small bores and machinery you want a slim wireless borescope.
Then pick the reach and the record features. Rod length sets how far you can travel; a metre counter, self-levelling head and a larger screen make surveys faster and reports clearer. If you produce reports for clients or insurers, prioritise SD recording and on-screen distance metering.

Are the camera heads waterproof?
The camera heads are IP68 rated for full submersion — suitable for standing water in drains, flooded pipes and deep wells. The screen unit is splash-resistant for field use.
What is the difference between a wireless inspection camera and a push-rod system?
Wireless borescope-style cameras are compact and flexible for cavities, ducts and machinery over short distances. Push-rod systems use a semi-rigid rod to drive a camera tens of metres through drains and pipes — the right tool for underground surveys.
Can I see how deep or far in a fault is?
Yes — choose a model with a metre counter. It displays the cable distance on screen and on the recording, so you can pinpoint and report the exact location of a blockage, root ingress or collapse.
