The dashcam needs a clear sky view, so a heavily tinted or heated screen, or a poor mounting spot, can block the fix. Make sure it is mounted at the top of the windscreen and allow a few minutes outdoors to lock on. Confirm power is stable, as a device that keeps restarting never holds a GPS fix.
