Key features

What SIM and data plan do I need?

Personal GPS trackers work with any standard UK SIM card from EE, Vodafone, O2 or Three. You can bring your own pay-as-you-go or contract SIM, or buy a pre-configured one from us with data and calling credit already loaded. Most trackers use very little data — typically 500 MB to 2 GB per month depending on how often you check location and make calls.

We recommend a plan with at least 1 GB of data and some voice minutes. Some models support dual-SIM for automatic failover if one network drops out, giving extra peace of mind in remote areas or during network outages.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work without a phone?

Yes — personal trackers have their own SIM card and work independently. No smartphone required. Contacts receive alerts via SMS and app.

How accurate is the location?

GPS accuracy is 2–5 metres outdoors. Indoors, WiFi positioning provides accuracy to approximately 15–30 metres.

Is there a monthly cost?

Yes — a small monthly SIM charge (typically £5–8/month) covers data, calling and platform access.

How long does the battery last?

Most models run for 5–7 days on standby. Active use with frequent calls or tracking reduces this to 2–3 days.

Can I use it abroad?

Yes — 4G models work across Europe and many other countries. Check roaming coverage with your SIM provider before travelling.

Is it waterproof?

Many models are rated IP67, meaning they're protected against rain and brief immersion. Not suitable for swimming or prolonged underwater use.

How do I set up emergency contacts?

You configure contacts through the companion app or web portal. Most trackers support 3–5 emergency contacts who receive alerts simultaneously.
