What SIM and data plan do I need?

For 4G-connected ANPR cameras, any unlocked SIM from EE, Vodafone, O2 or Three will work. You can bring your own SIM or buy a pre-configured one from us. Most models support dual-SIM failover, so if one network drops the camera automatically switches to the backup.

Data usage is typically 15–40 GB per month depending on how many vehicles pass and whether you upload full images or plate data only. A standard mobile data plan is usually sufficient, and you can adjust upload settings to reduce usage if needed.

Do I need planning permission?

Usually not for private property, but check with your local council if the camera faces a public road or if you're in a conservation area.

Yes — systems are fully expandable. You can add extra cameras to cover multiple entry points or lanes and manage them all from one interface.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Cameras continue recording locally to SD card or onboard storage, and plates are logged. Data syncs automatically once connectivity returns.
