VisionMaster L7 7″ Automotive Thermal Imaging Night Vision System

The VisionMaster L7 is a 7-inch automotive thermal imaging night-vision system that lets a driver see people, animals and vehicles in total darkness, glare, fog, smoke and heavy rain — long before they appear in the headlights. A rugged IP67 thermal camera mounts at the front of the vehicle and a bright 7-inch dashboard display shows a live thermal image with on-board AI that recognises pedestrians and vehicles and warns the driver automatically. No separate DVR or PC is needed — the algorithm runs inside the display.

Why thermal beats every other night-vision system

Headlights, infrared and standard cameras all rely on reflected light, so they are dazzled by oncoming high beams, wet roads and fog, and they see nothing beyond the beam. Thermal imaging works on heat, not light. A person or animal is warmer than the road and glows clearly whether it is pitch dark, foggy or the car opposite has full beam on. It sees further than the headlights and it cannot be blinded.

AI pedestrian & vehicle detection with graduated alerts

The L7 doesn't just show a thermal picture — it understands it. Built-in AI continuously scans the road ahead, boxes every person and vehicle it finds, and escalates the warning as a hazard gets closer:

• Beyond 60 m — pedestrian detected and highlighted, no alarm
• 40–60 m (Level 3) — yellow highlight, slow warning beep
• 20–40 m (Level 2) — red highlight, faster beep
• Within 20 m (Level 1) — flashing red highlight, urgent continuous beep
• Vehicles are boxed in blue for awareness without a nuisance alarm

That is real extra reaction time on unlit roads — the difference between spotting a pedestrian in a dark lane at a hundred metres and meeting them in your headlights at twenty.

Choosing your thermal resolution

The system comes in three thermal sensor resolutions — the higher the resolution, the sharper the image and the further out you can identify a hazard:

• 256×192 — excellent value; clear detection for everyday night driving and slower routes.
• 384×288 — noticeably crisper image and longer identification range; the popular all-round choice.
• 640×512 — flagship clarity and the longest range; best for high-speed roads, HGVs and demanding use.

Detection range also depends on the lens — standard lenses pick up a person at roughly 200 m and a vehicle at 300 m or more. Tell us how and where you drive and we'll match the resolution and lens for you.
